Expanding Dual Enrollment in Cities: The Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions
Time: 1:00 pm EST
Description: Expanding dual enrollment in cities has both opportunities and challenges; while cities have many resources (and students!) close at hand, urban areas face unique challenges that mean that dual enrollment participation in cities can often lag other parts of the state. Join Alex Perry from the College in High School Alliance as he presents the findings of a new paper, Navigating College & Career Readiness and Dual Enrollment in Urban Education Systems, and moderates a panel with dual enrollment leaders from Chicago, New York City, and Los Angeles to dive deep into the potential for significantly expanding dual enrollment access in large cities, and how partners on the ground are working on doing so in their unique contexts. By the end of the webinar, you’ll be armed with a new framework for advancing this work in urban areas, as well as direct insights and reflections from leaders in the field.

- Sam Gelinas, Vice President of Programs, Strategy, and Development, Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation
- Megan Hougard, Chief of College & Career Success, Chicago Public Schools
