Research Commission
The Commissions serve an important role in the organization by supporting NACEP’s work by engaging expertise from the field for these volunteer leadership positions.
The Research Commission’s main function is to:
- Conducting, supporting, and sharing research on concurrent and dual enrollment
- Providing tools and guidance for programs in conducting program evaluations
- Curating resources (research, publications, summaries) on dual and concurrent enrollment research, policy, trends and best practices
Research Commission Activities:
- NACEP U (Formerly the Resource Center) – Support NACEP staff in curating a resource library with 125+ expert insights in dual enrollment
- Research Spotlights – Plain language summaries of peer-reviewed research shared in the monthly NACEP Oracle newsletter
- Research Roundup Webinars (Yee-haw!) – Commission members unpack and discuss recently published academic papers featured in the Research Spotlights
- Research Rendezvous – Hosted by members of the NACEP Research Commission, the Research Rendezvous is an informal, interactive roundtable discussion focused on the intersection of research and practice in dual enrollment. This networking and discussion opportunity brings together researchers, graduate students, practitioners, and anyone curious about research to connect with others, exchange ideas, and explore how research can support program monitoring, improvement, and innovation. Participants are encouraged to bring questions, discuss challenges, share experiences, and learn from colleagues engaged in research across the field. Whether you're actively conducting research or simply interested in learning more, you'll find a welcoming space for conversation and collaboration. Please note, that Research Rendezvous sessions are discussion-based and are not recorded, allowing for open dialogue and authentic exchange among participants.
- Research Development Grants – Awarded annually to spur research in the field of dual and concurrent enrollment
