ABOUT NACEP

The National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP ) is at the intersection of college and high school, advancing quality college programs for high school students. We are the only national organization supporting programs, practitioners, and policy to advance concurrent and dual enrollment programs. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Accreditation Specialist is responsible for implementing and coordinating the NACEP accreditation process in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This position ensures the effective and consistent administration of all phases of the accreditation cycle, including application management, peer review coordination, and documentation tracking. The Accreditation Specialist reviews program submissions for completeness and compliance, facilitates communication among applicants, peer reviewers, and commissioners, and supports training and quality assurance efforts related to the accreditation process.

This position reports directly to the Director of Accreditation and works collaboratively with the Accreditation Commission, peer reviewers, volunteers, and other NACEP staff to uphold the integrity and quality of the organization’s national accreditation standards.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Accreditation Process:

  • Support and update the accreditation workflow of the accreditation cycle (such as timelines, Records of Accreditation, application materials and resources, annual reports, compliance activities, including re-accreditation and annual member surveys).
  • Support the peer review process, including assisting with soliciting and vetting of peer reviewers, assisting in training, timely communications between applicants, peer review teams, and Accreditation Commissioners, reviewing documentation and resources, tracking and supporting team activity.
  • Work with NACEP Operations and HR/Finance managers to ensure accurate and timely billing for fees related to accreditation applications.
  • Assist with drafting, consolidating, and editing Peer Review Team reports and recommendations for review by the Accreditation Commission for use in Findings Letters, tracking of accreditation decisions, and provide summaries and reports as requested, to ensure timely distributions to appropriate parties.

Accreditation Commission Support:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to the Accreditation Commission during meetings and deliberations, such as meeting schedules, agendas, associated resources, and communications for meetings.
  • Assist in documenting exemplary practices and areas for improvement identified during the review process.
  • Serve as staff support for assigned NACEP committees, such as subcommittees for Standards & Guidelines, Review, or Special Projects, when assigned.

Technical Assistance and Accredited Member Support: 

  • With oversight and support of the Director of Accreditation, review compliance of accredited programs (annual report, membership fees, volunteer, etc.).
  • Work with Member Services on announcements, press releases, maintaining relevant and up-to-date webpage content, and outreach efforts as related to the accreditation and application process.
  • Assist with the accreditation volunteer recognition, to include planning and logistics of the accredited program celebration at the National Conference.
  • Maintain and update accreditation resources, training, materials, and guidance materials on the NACEP website and internal databases.
  • Support the development and refinement of NACEP’s Accreditation Management System and other digital tools for application review and documentation tracking.
  • Assist in ensuring accurate and timely billing for fees related to accreditation applications.

Accreditation and NACEP Events:

  • Assist in planning and supporting logistics for workshops, webinars, in-person and virtual training sessions for programs seeking accreditation or reaccreditation, and in-person Accreditation Commission meetings, Accreditation Institutes, the National Conference, and Regional events.
  • Participate in team planning and collaborative projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
