What Works Clearinghouse Intervention Report: A summary of findings from a systematic review of the evidence

This review of the experimental and quasi-experimental literature by the Department of Education’s What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) examines student outcomes associated with participating in dual enrollment. The summary report found a medium-to-large evidence base that shows positive benefits of dual enrollment on college degree attainment, college access and enrollment, college credit accumulation, completing high school, and general academic achievement in high school.
