South Texas College Presents, National Summit for Dual Credit Programs

December 3, 2020

Hello to the NACEP Community!

South Texas College has one of the largest dual credit programs in the State of Texas with over 13,000 students every Fall semester, collaborating with 21 school districts and 70 high school partners across 2 counties. In April of 2020, we were thrilled to become the first NACEP Accredited Program in the state. This was an important step for our program and allowed us to showcase our deep commitment to partnerships with local school districts as well as business and industry to build a sustainable program that benefits students, educators, employers, and our community.

Like many NACEP members, we believe strongly in the importance of learning from colleagues by sharing knowledge and insights with our peers. For the last 15 years, South Texas College has provided a platform for public schools, private schools, and higher education professionals to engage in a dialogue on closing the achievement gap in college readiness for high school graduates. Over the years, this event has expanded from serving educators in the Rio Grande Valley to those in the State of Texas and beyond. This year we are excited to bring this work to a national stage. South Texas College is proud and excited to announce the National Summit for Dual Credit Programs (NSDCP) held virtually on March 7-9, 2021.

It is our distinct pleasure to invite you all to join us at this important event to learn, gain inspiration, and share your successes in dual credit program work. This summit is the perfect fit for higher education institutions, school district personnel, and State/National entities seeking information and key takeaways about dual credit and college readiness. We offer two days of inspiring speakers and insightful breakouts. We have also put together a special post-conference opportunity that will allow attendees a "one-to-one" experience with the innovative Dual Credit Programs at South Texas College. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about how South Texas College has sustained a tuition-free dual enrollment model for the past 20 years. Additional presentations will focus on faculty credentialing, scheduling, partnering school district professional development, and much more! You do not want to miss this opportunity! As our holiday gift to you, we have extended our early bird registration rate through the end of the year.

You can find all the event information here. We hope to see you all at the National Summit for Dual Credit Programs in March!
