Membership Categories, Fees and Privileges

NACEP has six membership categories. Select the category that best serves your individual or institutional needs:

General Membership

  1. College/University - NACEP Accreditation is the goal for post-secondary institutional members. Benefits from this accreditation include: an assessment of your program's ability to meet the evidence of NACEP standards, recommendations for continued program quality, and membership within a community of post-secondary colleges/universities who value the program standards of NACEP accreditation.

    There are two categories for College/University membership:

    Accredited - An accredited member institution is expected to have a CEP program that has been in existence for at least 5 years. Reserved for post-secondary institutions that have completed the NACEP review process and have been granted accreditation by the NACEP Board of Directors.
    • $550 annual fee
    • entitled to one vote per institution
    • 2 copies of NACEP publications
    • unlimited reduced conference fees
    • one member certificate
    • representative eligible to hold NACEP office
    • eligible to sponsor others for membership

    Provisional - This category is designated for post-secondary institutions currently administering a concurrent enrollment partnership and seeking NACEP accreditation.

    • $450 annual fee
    • entitled to 1 vote per institution
    • two copies of NACEP publications
    • unlimited reduced conference fees
    • one member certificate
    • representative eligible to hold NACEP office
    For those institutions that became Provisional Members in 2002, full membership rights (to include voting and holding office) have been extended from June 30, 2005 to January 1, 2006. Therefore, all 2002 Provisional Members will need to complete the accreditation process or have submitted their full application by August 1, 2007 to avoid interruption of membership rights.

    As of January 1, 2008, the provisional membership fee will be reduced to $450 and voting, office and nomination privileges will be eliminated.

  2. Partner Institution - This category is designated for a school district, a high school, a professional organization, or an educational agency that participates with a concurrent enrollment program or engages in efforts supportive of the NACEP mission.
    • $125 annual fee
    • one copy of NACEP publications
    • reduced conference fee for one representative
    • one member certificate

  3. Individual - This category is designated for an individual (university faculty, high school teachers and guidance counselors, administrators, parents) working with or interested in concurrent enrollment programs or who engages in efforts supportive of the NACEP mission.
    • $35 annual fee
    • one copy of NACEP publications
    • reduced conference fee for one individual
    • one member certificate

    Specialty Membership

    Emeritus - This category is designated for an individual nominated by a member college or university who has participated with a college/university or partnering institution and has emeritus status.

    • annual fee waived
    • one copy of NACEP publications
    • reduced conference fee for one individual
    • one member certificate

    Student - This category is designated for currently enrolled college or university students who are interested in or plan to work with concurrent enrollment programs or engage in efforts supportive of the NACEP mission.

    • $10 annual fee
    • one copy of NACEP publications
    • reduced conference fee for one individual
    • one member certificate

    Circulation - This category is designated for libraries, research organizations and centers, or clearinghouses seeking copies of NACEP publications.

    • $25 annual fee
    • one annual set of NACEP publications
