NACEP is pleased to offer a unique professional development opportunity through our Network Engagement Series. This series of webinars is designed to help you grow, strengthen, and empower the networks and partnerships vital to your work. The University of Kansas’ Christina Holt will lead three topical sessions focused on different aspects of network engagement critical to your work. Each session will highlight resources from the Community Toolbox an extensive library of community-building resources focused on growing sustainability and impact through partnership.
Each webinar will cover a topic related to network engagement.
Developing Strategic and Action Plans
Developing strategic and action plans provides a map for moving from your vision to outcomes. The strategic plan provides overall direction and the path to move from the status quo to the future of the work. The action plan identifies specific changes the group seeks to accomplish its goals. Partnerships and their work can be greatly enhanced by a clear vision and mission statement, explicit objectives, varied strategies, and a comprehensive and detailed action plan.
This module walks participants through the multiple processes involved in creating such plans, using a process called “VMOSA,” where a Vision, Mission, Objectives, Strategies and an Action Plan are developed. It also helps participants understand how to review and build consensus for the plans, and teaches participants to make full use of the plans to guide and enhance the work.
Learning objectives:
Developing a strategic plan – VMOSA
Building consensus on the action plan
Using strategic plans to guide the work
