NACEP Webinar: Education and Industry Partnerships: Building and Sustaining Relationship Through Multi-directional Value
July 10 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Industry partners are so important to education. These partners can provide relevance to the classroom, support teaching practices, help students figure out their careers and college pathway, in a way that provides more intentional planning and increases success. While we know the value of these partnerships, we need to understand what’s in it for them, if we want a sustainable practice. In our journey to find that multi-directional value, we uncovered some myths, and assumptions on both side of the aisle, that have helped us become better partners. Keep in mind industry is interested in creating a pathway to employability in their industry, but they are also working short-staffed. While educators talk about outcomes they are focused on return of investment. Part of our process has been focused on building common language.
All of our efforts are centered on a core value: Providing students with the information they need to make informed decisions.
The best way we know how to do this is to make sure students have an informed group of educators around them. We hope you will be able to join us for this interesting webinar.
